The hotel is less than a kilometer from Park Station, Joburg’s biggest transport hub and the Gautrain, the airport train service.
For business: we are close to many local and provincial government offices; the High Court, Family and Labour courts and more; , and prominent NGOs and trade unions. We are close to both Wits University and UJ campuses.
For pleasure: The Bannister is located on the City Sightseeing bus routes and is within 1km of our iconic Constitution Hill, Joburg Theatre and Market Theatres. The area is mostly business during the week, but vibrant on the weekends with many entertainment, arty, music and party choices.

CONFERENCING & EVENTS
The hotel has a 90sq/m conference and event space. The room can quickly be transformed to handle a variety of layouts and functions: from seating up to 80 people for fully catered business conferences, to private parties and functions; private, smaller meetings. It has an acoustic ceiling, excellent ventilation and comes with fast wifi and digital projection and sound. We offer event catering and flexible packages to suit any need.
