A taxi ride away:

Melville:
Also about 5km away but has several bars and restaurants. Our favourites are Lucky Bean Restaurant, Glory and Hell's Kitchen

Parkhurst and Parktown North:
About 10km away but several good restaurants and bars but closes early.  Check out the The Local Grill,  Espresso, The Foundry, Hudson's and Craft

Linden:
Its a vibey and bohemian neighbourhood with many restaurants. We recommend Brian Lara, Rosto, The Whippet.

Maboneng Precinct: www.mabonengprecinct.com
Its about 5km away but well worth a visit for its galleries, market and roof top bars on the weekend

Rosebank:
Also about 10km away. Several bars and good restaurants spread over the suburb.

Sandton:
About 25km away. Very 'mall' oriented and glitzy. Several bars and good restaurants spread over the suburb.
