DIRECTIONS TO THE BANNISTER HOTEL

FROM PARK/ GAUTRAIN STATION
The hotel is 700 meters from Park & Gautrain Station. Google says it's a 9 minute walk. 

DIRECTIONS:
When you are at the station on the ground floor, take the escalator to the upper floor. 
Turn immediately left & exit just behind the escalator. 
Once you leave the building, turn right and walk through the parking lot. 
The Rea Vaya bus station is on your right at the traffic light.

BUS: 
The easiest way to get to the hotel is to catch the Rea Vaya bus. It runs until 6pm. Don't take the Gautrain bus as it doesn't go as close to the hotel. 
The bus runs every 15 minutes is cheap.
Catch the "Chancellor House West" bus
Exit the bus at the De Beer/De Korte stop. (ask the driver)
Walk back against the traffic until the corner.
Turn right into De Beer St.
The hotel is on your right.

WALKING:
From the bus station, cross Wolmerans Street, and continue 50 meters up Rissik street till the next corner. 
Turn left into Smit Street. 
Cross another 4 streets and turn right into Melle Street. 
First left into Juta Street.
First right into De Beer St.
The hotel is on your left.

Avoid walking after dark unless your in a group or have swagger. Busses run until 6pm. Unless your familiar with Johannesburg and its dark, catch a taxi.

FROM THE MARKET THEATRE, NEWTOWN.
The hotel is 1.3 km the Market Theatre.

As you come out of the Market Theatre parking lot, turn right into Miriam Makeba St.
At the next traffic light, turn right into Carr St.
At the first traffic light, take the left yield onto Nelson Mandela Bridge.
Cross the bridge and two intersections, and go right at the first one way road to your right - Jorrison St.
Take your next right into De Beer St.
Cross de Korte St and the hotel is on your right.

The hotel is less than 400 meters from Wits University Main Campus.

Jorrison St is a one-way that runs past the upper end of WITS.
In Jorrison, follow the direction of the traffic and cross Bertha St (Jan Smuts Ave)
Take your next right into De Beer St.

Cross De Korte St and the hotel is on your right.
